Does anyone know the name of this book?

It's about a depressed girl, and her father did something to her so she's in a bording school, she doesn't talk that much, and another girl treats her like a puppet, by putting her hand up her back and talking, it's a diary like book with April, May, June....etc, i think it has heart in the title...

I think it's about a sioux girl named Nanny rose I think,and she's in boarding school, I don't know anything, I guess it can be it
