I was working as a cna and a patient had a accident on the floor and I need help. His nurse looked at me crazy and laughed at me and continued ordering off ebay at the nurses station. I had made several complaints before about the nurses not assiting the care tech when it is neccessary. Nothing was done about it because I was told that the hospital staff thinks that the cna's are low life high school dropouts. I did report the accident to higher management but they stick together.

go to the free legal aid place, call a lawyer to start a suit on percentage basis, but most important go to the governmentagency for initial help. you know hmis or whatever. get on the horn and track that one down. welfare social worker person. start there. and admit nothing. say nothing.

Ok, not sure what your question is. You have the right to quit a job. And did the nurse behave professionally? Doesn't sound like it. But if your question is would you qualify for unemployment comp, probably not since you quit voluntarily. You could apply anyway, but would probably be turned down.

Good for you, for standing up for yourself and what you feel is only right I would have done the same thing but first I would have waited until I had another job line up. lol but I'm sure your find a new one soon.
