i'm having my 2nd term exams in college & most of the questions coming in the college papers might be from the most recent public exam papers(AS Level-October/November 2006).

somehow i managed to acquire the AS Level October/November 2006 papers.is it alright if i do them before my 2nd term college exams?

p.s. there's no guarantee that the questions might come from the October/November past papers.

thanks for the advice guys...

No, there's nothing wrong with it. There's nothing to worry about. How do you know if they'll be the same questions? Just do whatever you can to insure the best scores, and in this case, you're merely practicing, so do it.

If you acquired them legally, then there's nothing wrong. In my university degree in the UK, they let us see past exam questions, and actually encouraged it.

If you copy someone else's answers, that's where things go wrong.

They are meant to change the papers slightly every year, but if it's a public knowledge paper, go for it. Of course, practicing on this year's paper, that would be wrong.

It can't be cheating if you know in advance that the answer may be in the most recent public exam papers. Now if you knew for certain that the answers were in the most recent public exam papers, then that would be cheating. Also study the answers that aren't"t published as well.

If these tests were released to the public, there's no harm in using them for practice; however, if you "managed to acquire them" before they are released to the public, this is dishonest.

It might even be considered theft if the authors of the test have not given you permission to use them. You'd better check the source of the tests before you decide to use them.
