Which of these two cities do you prefer? Is it possible to compare them?

I know Boston fairly well - I have also seen parts of Manhattan - and I have always enjoyed both cities!

i like both towns for very different reasons. Boston is extremely easy to get around via foot and/or train. There is a ton of history there dating all the way back to the revolutionary war. And more laid back.

New York is a town with great culture, museums, shopping, theater etc. But it is also a lot larger, kind of hard to get around. And I don't feel nearly as safe there. My mom was mugged on park avenue in the middle of broad daylight there.

I am more partial to Boston. But could take either one really.

I like Boston better because it's smaller, easier to walk around the parts you like. I think Boston did a much better job preserving its history, and has some funkier places than NYC.

However, NYC has better food, and a more diverse population.

It is possible to compare them, they both have great public transit systems, they both have the same climate, both cities have a Chinatown. Otherwise, they are pretty different.

I prefer NY probably because I live very close to it. I would say they are two cities which you could not compare. Both have their ups and downs but both sides could make their arguments although NYC could probably make a better one *wink*.
