130 systole and 60 diastole
ischemia (a lack of blood and hence oxygen supply) of the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries (the heart's blood vessels).

saphenous vein, is to be used for the bypass, an incision is made in the leg and the vein removed. The vein is located on the inside of the leg, running from the ankle to the groin. The saphenous vein normally does only about 10% of the work of circulating blood from the leg back to the heart. Therefore, it can be taken out without harming the patient or harming the leg.

Systole is the first number and represents the pressure reading in the artery when the heart muscle is at its maximum contraction thus forcing blood out into the body. The diastole is the second number and represents the pressure in the artery at the point of the heart relaxing and refilling.

Angina pectoris is a symptom of poor blood flow to the heart and may occur in the absence of as heart attack. Lots of people have it and are taking nitroglycerin for it.

If an MI is occurring the a coronary artery, an artery which feeds blood to the actual heart muscle, has gotten blocked by a blood clot, a little lump of fat. Coronary arteries become stiff and narrow as they age making older people more susceptible to heart attacks.

The saphenous vein is used because it is easy to get to, heals well, and leaves a persons leg with other ways(collateral) for blood to flow.
