I know this guy since I am 7 and I truly love him, he feels the same too, but I had to let him go yesterday, because he lives far away, and I can't continue suffering by this distance that separates us, I can't go where he lives because I am studying in College and I first need to finish my education, he is doing that too, but still I feel sad, because we are not together, and I told him, to be happy and to find somebody that makes him happy, and he told me that he was always going to be waiting for me, and that he loves me too, but it's not our fault that we can't be together, If you were in my position would you think that at the end of our journey we might end up together?, thank you I appreciate your answers!

It all depends on you two and what youre willing to give up to end up together. Things will come and go and change thru your college years and when you graduate, youll probably have careers to contend with, and thatll be the biggest challenge on who gives up their career to move to be with the other. Things wont be as easy and clear cut now on as they were once. Remember if you want something youll take a risk but if you want something bad enough, youll risk everything. But in the meantime keep in touch with each other and be willing to bend a little at times, and God willing someday you two will be together. Good luck

I think if it's not worth waiting for, then it probably isn't the right relationship. You were 7 when you met; you're becoming different people as you get older. Now, you're in college and that experience changes you.

I don't think this relationship should be your goal. Again, if you can't endure the pain of separation, then it probably isn't the right relationship for you.
