I think it would make it more exciting.

Not in any way. In college not every team has a player who is over 7'0 and can jump so when you have a team like Butler playing Florida, Florida wins every jump ball. This isnt a rare instance either, it would happen very often and would make it harder for the Mid-Majors to beat the big conference teams making college basketball less interesting.

hell yeah. it goes like this. if a team has the ball and somehow another player from the other team gets into it and both players have possession of the ball....REWARD the scrappy defensive player for his effort and have a jump ball.

regardless if some like noah would be jumping against a 6 ft pg from butler...they have more of a chance of getting the ball from a jump ball (bad bounce, tipping it to the wrong guy, taller guy loses tip) than having the possession arrow go in their direction.

I like the possession arrow because whoever is taller or a better leaper involved in the jump will have an advantage. There would be no point of a guard tying up a center because they would just lose the tip anyways.

You have no clue! We kept on talking about that while we were watching the tourney, and I think it would be so much more exciting to watch if they did jump ball.

And if people think it's not fair, well, sucks for them. The game isn't about "fair" it's about the better team and winning. Life isn't always fair.
