This is the generally accepted cast list in order of importance. Many (including me) would put Nick Bottom much further up underneath Oberon and Titania.

Puck (Robin Goodfellow)
Oberon
Titania
Lysander
Demetrius
Hermia
Helena
Egeus
Theseus
Hippolyta
Nick Bottom
Peter Quince
Francis Flute
Robin Starveling
Tom Snout
Snug
Philostrate
Peasblossom
Cobweb
Mote
Mustardseed

Ooh! A Shakespeare question- interesting! Now, i do no longer recognize while you're finding for the respond for an essay or in simple terms thinking, yet i will finally end up rambling in ordinary terms a sprint- sorry. Midsummer is a comedy, so it would not have one imperative determine, as a ordinary Aristotelian Tragedy ought to. the main important character truly relies upon on what perspective you're finding on the play from- plot smart, Oberon is utilising multiple the action, yet so is Egeus by utilising forcing his daughter to marry a guy she would not love. although, i think of the objective industry finally ends up figuring out with p.c.. the main, by way of fact he's the guy who adresses us quickly. Titania is likewise given multiple concentration, as her character became in all likelihood drawn (a minimum of to a minor degree) from Queen Elizabeth, an truly important determine on the time. yet, as I reported, that's a comedy, and while you're finding for the utilising rigidity so some distance as this is worried, that is definately backside. i think of the superb answer to this question, although, is that in the time of this actual play there's no single character this is important above the others- and there would not must be. The persons are not fairly important, and nor is the plot. that is truly a play in general approximately how fickle human emotion is, which won't have the capacity to be shown by utilising anybody character as efficiently as that's right here, by utilising many. wish that became effectual! : )

If you told us what character you were playing, we could all help you describe your character and would be able to tell if it's a large part or not.

Here's a list of them, in a somewhat good order :

Puck, Hobgoblin or Robin Goodfellow
Oberon, King of Fairies
Titania, Queen of Fairies
Lysander, beloved of Hermia
Hermia, in love with Lysander
Helena, in love with Demetrius
Demetrius, in love with Hermia but then falls in love with Helena later on
Egeus, father of Hermia
Theseus, Duke of Athens
Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons and betrothed of Theseus
Nick Bottom, weaver, Pyramus in the play, "Pyramus and Thisbe", who is very full of himself.
Peter Quince, carpenter
Francis Flute, bellows-mender
Robin Starveling, tailor
Tom Snout, tinker
Snug, joiner
Philostrate, Master of the Revels
Peaseblossom, becca morris fairy
Cobweb, fairy
Moth (sometimes rendered as 'Mote'), fairy
Mustardseed, fairy

I don't understand this question at all. How "good" your character is? I suspect this has something to do with the size of the role (i.e., # of lines), and my strong advice to you is that you get over that nonsense. You're cast in a show with a number of other performers, and your job is to do whatever you can do to ensure that the show is as good as it can be.
