I don't know anyone who ALWAYS tells the truth, even those that claim to, however many people really make the effort to keep untruth out of their life and that includes white lies (they are still lies).
There are often things one can say that aren't lies but are still not hurtful (which is typically why white lies are told, to preserve someone's feelings).
I will usually say nothing, before I will tell an outright lie...I don't want the karma associated with it...

It's always best to be honest. Especially about the important stuff. Everyone on occasion tells little white lies, and these lies are usually insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
Would you want someone to lie to you? I highly doubt that would make you feel good to believe in what someone says to you only to find out they lied. I've been there and its hugely disappointed and very childish, immature behavior.

I believe that it is okay to tell white lies, as long as they are not going to hurt anybody. Most people tell white lies. For example, nearly all parents tell white lies (existence of the tooth fairy, Father Christmas, etc.) Some people tell white lies in order to make their friends feel better - in other words when the truth would hurt. White lies are sometimes told when people are asked for their opinion on how their friends or family members look - "Does my bum look big in this?" or "Does this colour/outfit/hair do, etc, suit me?" would rarely be answered with all honesty because of the fear that honesty may offend. If somebody is feeling upset, white lies may be used in order to make the upset person feel better. It is accepted by a large proportion of people to tell white lies.

\i suppose i tell about as many white lies as most and now and then a great big whopper i dont do it for myself though but i will lie for other people to protect their feelings or keep them out of trouble
if every one told the truth all the time it would be an even sadder and more cruel world than it is now

tell the truth in a very anti negative way! for instance if someone needed to know something but i knew it would hurt them i would do it kindly but i would not lie! i do think that sometimes telling white lies is better then telling the truth but i dont think its for me! i have a consence so i feel guilty when i lie so i love the truth!
