I live every day as it comes. I've tried to plan ahead but when I do that I lose the list of stuff for the day or decide I don't want to follow it.

When you have children it's a bit difficult to live everyday as it comes; planning ahead is the better course to prevent multiple schedules from colliding but on weekends we try to see where the day will take us.

I think a lot of people do a bit of both, don't you think?

The trick is to maintain a healthy balance between the "carpe deim" and the plans.

People who know us would say that we're a combination of both organization and spontaneity.

We make future plans for things like vacations or visits with friends or family, but we don't get to caught up in planning our schedule down to the last detail, because that usually leads to disappointment, anyway.

And, we like to leave ourselves open for new adventures on the spur of the moment, as well.

Both. But mostly just "live" every day because all the planning ahead can often be a total waste ot time.

EDIT: What in the bloody ,,,,,happened to my avatar? After over TWO months, I finally got it back on? I AM DRAGON.
(As in, beginning to feel like I'm draggin'....)

BOTH- I make plans as far out as 10 years as goals of personal happiness and growth.
Yet each day it enjoyed or wasted and still valued just the same. Like today, I was up at 3am-7am doing chores, went back to bed at 8am and just woke up at 4pm, plan to eat some dinner soon, do some chores, shower and go back to bed and go to work at a normal time in the morning. Wacky perhaps, yet... I enjoyed the fact that I could control my day in a weird way. IT was my day off and did it like my body wanted too.

how can you plan?I mean it is more fun to...oh how can i put this.o.k. lets say you planned to go to some fancy restaurant with your friend somewhere & so you say to everyone you are booked.but today you feel like a Jamba and your friend calls and says he can't make it.BUT you already planned the meal & it costed like $100.You cant askanyone else to come because you said you were booked.+you can't cancel the meal!!
Anyway,why plan?If you don't life would be more fun.Now I don't mean all the time,just a little more.
