With my first child, they didn't hear the heartbeat until the second trimester (they said my own was overpowering the sound of my childs). They didn't *see* the heartbeat until the 10th week... so don't lose hope.

Oh yeah it is very possible it is too early to tell. I was twelve weeks along and they had to do the internal ultrasound, they couldn't hear the heartbeat with the regular dopler. I was scared too, but the doctor reassured me everthing was ok. After seeing the heartbeat with the internal ultrasound, I felt much better, and I was 12 weeks along. Give it a few more weeks. I now have a healthy 9 yr old boy!!

I went through this with my second child and was really scared. The answer is that you are not far enough along. The baby is still really small and with all the fluid around it, it is hard to see or hear. But don't worry, soon you will see that little baby on the screen and see that heartbeat beating away and then you probably smile and cry just like I did.

i presumed i became at approximately 8 weeks and that i had a vaginal ultrasound the day before right this moment and the dr. did no longer see a heartbeat yet he concept i became greater at 6 weeks than 8. I ought to choose for yet another ultrasound next Tuesday (in 6 days). i recognize precisely the way you experience. i'm so scared by way of fact we have been attempting see you later to get pregnant contained in the 1st place. i'm commencing as much as doubt if I nonetheless even have indications now, my breasts do no longer harm as plenty yet i'm actually nonetheless drained (by no ability had morning ailment although...). that is an emotional curler coaster yet i think of that's superb to attend it out and spot what occurs by way of fact ultimately, there's no longer something we can do contained meanwhile, precise...? sturdy success. Was the doctor worried? Did he do blood tests? I think that by 9 weeks there should be a heartbeat on the ultrasound. Keep eating well and taking your vitamins! Try not to worry. I know that's hard to do, but I've been through losses quite a few times. They knew it was happening because of falling hormone levels. Take care of yourself and let us know how it goes!

7 weeks you are still very early in your pregnancy. most times if you can't hear the heartbeat they will try again in a week or so and if they don't hear it then they will do an internal ultrasound.

They cant see or hear it until 6 weeks, Maybe you ovulated late, and arent actualy 7 weeks. I would try not to worry about it yet. If there was a problem with your u/s you doctor will call you in before your next appointment. Try to relax as best you can. It is probably to early to tell. I ovulated early the month we got pregnant and our baby was 8weeks and about 5 days when we had our u/s instead of 8 weeks and 1day. Good Luck

Dont worry about that. the baby is still only about the size of a lima bean maybe the size of a pecan if you are lucky. the dr is trying to hear the little one through all of your muscle, fat cells(everyone has them), and other stuff. if you can not hear the baby by 12 weeks then I would worry, but as for now, just enjoy the idea of being a mom.

My Dr. won't even check a woman until 12 weeks (unless there are concerns) because until then it is not uncommon to not be able to hear a heart beat.
