All of nature is connected. Trees may not be conscious in the sense that we are (they don't think as we do) but they create oxygen for us to breathe. All of God's creatures affect each other. We must protect the planet since it sustains us. I love trees. They are a beautiful expression of God's love. I feel calm when I'm in the woods. Many people are stressed and depressed because they have become detached from nature. You have to spend time outside and experience the beauty of nature to feel peace, tranquility and the oneness of all things.

Are you asserting that incidents like in inquisition, the crusades, witch trials etc etc (to call in ordinary terms a number of the non-contested ones) characterize undesirable culmination of Christianity?
