When can I actually have sex after a D&C? It's been 14 days since I had it done.

They didn't say anything about having sex and I didn't want to ask because the D&C was because of a miscarriage, and didn't want them to think I was odd. I do miss my baby very much. I was 11 weeks and was able to see my baby on US before they told me the news.

You are supposed to wait until your next Dr. appt. to make sure everything is okay. Thats at about 4 to 6 weeks after your D&C. It won't hurt your vagina but it can be bad on you cervix.

The generic answer is usually 6 weeks. Call your doctors office if you feel well enough and ask if it is ok. They might okay you but they might tell you to wait until after your follow up. Sorry for your loss.

Its best to wait at least 6 weeks to prevent infection, the same as after childbirth.

After my D&C I was having sex as soon as I stopped bleeding.
For us it was the only way we could deal with our grief.
Just call the hopsital or Dr to double check if you are worried or concerned. They wont think anything bad about you.

I am so so sorry for your loss.

You should wait 6 weeks to avoid possible infections.

you need to wait 6 weeks. If you don't you can get an infection and you know you don't want that.

Your OB-GYN will tell you. If he/she didn't, call the office (if you're in a hurry) or wait until your follow-up appointment and ask then.

Why didn't you ask your Doctor when you last saw him/her?
