When I was riding home on the bus last week, I thought about this as I looked at the cars next to the bus in the intersection. As I watched people in their cars, I wondered, if that was me in one of those cars, would I recognize myself?

I don't know if I would or not, but I kind of think I might. How you appear when you look in the mirror is different than how people see you. With this in mind, you may get a sense of familiarity to someone and indeed actually believe they look like you.
I have been told a lot of times that I had a double that lived in St. Augustine Florida. I never had the opportunity to see him, but I don't doubt it at all.
Would I recognise me? Probably.

No, I wouldn't. I would be pointing and laughing. Saying 'look at the head on that funny lookin dude'.
