car will not start,,however when I spray starting fluid into carb
it will fire and run briefly.
is it fuel pump, cam sensor, will a faulty fuel pump code like oother parts?

If the vehicle runs on starting fluid, then it wouldn't be a cam sensor. I would have the fuel pressure checked which shouldn't be too hard. My guess based on the info you provided would lead me to think fuel pump although a bad ignition control module could cause the coils to work but not allow the fuel injectors to dispense gasoline.

And as stated above, your car is fuel injected, not carburetted.

I had a 1995 Cavalier that had a nasty chip in significant computing gadget. it can cut back to rubble each and each of the time. i could not get it began. i could have it towed to purchase and they could commence it suitable up without issues. It took them always to be sure the region. The chip became cracked and at the same time as it can separate...the gas pump does no longer artwork. After looking the region and replacing the computing gadget..never had a issue again. I even don't understand once you've an same issue...yet i concept i could allow you to understand what mine became.

96 Cav doesnt have a carb.
If it starts with fluid, there's a fuel delivery issue, could be pump, filter, regulator, etc
