My cat-converter caused a small fire underneath and I had to change the speed sensor, the wires for it, and the shifter cable. (Of course the cat was replaced) But now when I start the car the RPM's goe crazy and I pull a code 36 (OBD 1). The RPM starts at appx. 700, but while in idel they just jump all over and eventually get to 3000, then the check engine light comes on. Now my car will only start half the time. Is there something I'm missing, electricaly, that could have been ruined by the fire from uderneath to cause the RPM problem. The fire was near the transmission and up near the starter, Y-Pipe and passenger side headers........A month back I changed the distributor, put an MSD Ignition coil in there, new ignition module, and checked all plugs for spark so I know its nothing to do with that.......PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
