The empirical formula of styrene is CH; the molar mass of styrene is 104.14 g/mol. How many H atoms are present in a 3.40 g sample of styrene?

Does anyone know how to do this? I really don't know where i should start...

Start by trying to fit C + H = 13 into 104. You should find 8, ie the actual formula is C8H8.

104g has 8g of H, and now you can scale that down to 3.4g.
