I'm getting an HP laptop, and I want to know what to do to keep it from exploding, because I'll be using it as a desktop so it'll be constantly plugged in like a desktop. So what is the best thing to do to prevent a laptop explosion...(take out battery?)

Dell batteries that have already been recalled

Edit: Seriously, some dell laptop batteries had a problem where the cells would leak eventually causing the laptop to explode. They have been reaclled now and as far as I know there is no need to be worrying about exploding laptops, it was a fluke.

Dont keep it pluged in for a long time dont eat near it or drink near it that also can cause explosion,
heat is what makes laptops explode., keep it under cool conditions , It will aslo be good to take out the battery, when you defently know your not going to use it anymore shut it off and if you are going to be out for a while shut it off then too.

But their is really no need to worry, The WAS a problem with SOME batteries overheating when under heavy use.

However, they've been recalled and replaced.Since you said you'd mainly be using AC power, you've even less to be concerned. You can remove the battery, but you'll need to put it back in sometime in order to keep it charged.

But just to be on the safe side try to listen to what most people are saying

I have an HP laptop, I've never been concerned about it exploding?! Under normal circumstances it's not something you should worry about either. I think there were some faulty batteries a few years ago but almost all of them were probably recalled before they actually exploded.

first make sure that the capacidors are not leaking if they are even powering it up could result in a grenade type of explosion.
Next is the fact that bumping the laptop frequently will cause the motherbourd ports to become loose when that happens there can be a tiny spark that can in some instances cause the computer to go up in flames...
So I would tell you that taking it to a shop and getting in checked out every 6-8 months for an anti-dust build-up problem is a good idea.

Do not leave it plugged in unless you do take the battery out. What makes laptops "explode" is overheating. Basically don't leave it on all the time and don't let the battery over charge.

No, it was the Dell computers and they did not explode, they caught fire. It was the batteries and they were produced by SONY. Sony thought it was due to a piece of metal in the battery that caused a direct short that caused the fire. But you are afriad then stick with desktop systems.

Keep it in a cool place. It is my thoughts an explosion may occur when they overheat. It is a good idea to place a short narrow piece of wood under each side to allow more room for the air to circulate. If you are going to remove the battery each time you use it. You might as well unplug it when not in use.

once you've the back-up copies of your operating gadget, i could back-up the present important archives on to a unique not ordinary stress, and then reinstall the total operating gadget, in an attempt to revert the computing gadget to what it became like once you first offered it.
