Since the market is so slow I need a different job but would still like to do something that requires a license.

A person can use their license as proof of experience in providing customer service. One can also use it to show they have been tested and approved to work with documents and numbers. They also make handy ice scrapers and can get one past a security gate in an exclusive neighborhood that has a home for sale. The training required to pass the state exam crosses many fields of work and displays an aptitude for similar occupations. I know where you are at in your career as I have had very lean times over the decades. You might place your license on inactive status until your area picks up again. Many agents work a second job or are already financially well off when they start. Real estate is a hard way to have to make a dependable income and can also be a great way to develope other skills. Best of luck in whetever field you enter and in getting back to an active market. Keep in mind when the market does pick back up you will need to preceed its activity with good marketing.

As you know the market is slow with your license you can dress in a slow suit and swing a big arrow pointing tot he open house.
Used car sale, but you have to be more honest.

try remodeling homes and selling them. If new homes aren't selling try buying an older home and fixing it up and see if it will sell. Its a huge step that might not work but it has great benefits in the end when the house sells. I've made $210,000 in profit in fixing up houses. its something you should look into.

You could do what my daughter is doing and work for your "Broker's license".......she want's to get this, so other's can work under her.......She's tired of flying from Coast to Coast selling mansions!! She want's some other employee's to do all the work, while she get's to sit back and raise my youngest granddaughter, you know... so, she school's in between her job......... Good luck to you hun!
