I'd like to wash some vertical blinds made of fabric. I'm assuming that taking them down and tossing them into the washer, on the delicate cycle, will work fine. At the bottom of each blind there's a rectangular weight sewn into the blind and can't be removed. I'm assuming it won't rust after the fact. :)

Any suggestions or thing I should be wary of? Thanks.

my guess is if you put them in the washer they might fall apart you might be better off doing them in the bathtub and hand wash with detergent then hand from shower rod to drip dry and hang them back up when damp the weight at the bottom should pull to take wrinkles out

Use lukewarm water in the bath with a gentle liquid detergent. Dip and pull the blind out several times giving it a bit of a wiggle each time it goes in (sounds daft but I have found this works! lol). Rinse in the same way. Dry extended and rehang as quickly as possible
