Only been online two weeks, and since I've discovered Youtube, Veoh.com and alluc.org my TV has been gathering dust. Anyone else feel the same?

I only watch about 3 or 4 shows. In fact the new series of Doctor Who will be the first thing I have properly watched in months. I love Doctor Who.

All the shifting between channels you were doing was an effort to be in control of something which shall never give up its control over you: TV.
It is like any bad relation, it is one way.
TV Has to be cheep and reach as many as posible to make a profit. I guess Jerry Springer has the biggest crowds. Not very flattering if you want to think about IQ in general.
TV is hypnotic and induces a trance as it is repetitious and monotonous. Lots of people actually cannot go to sleep without it.
TV is an excuse for not reading. You cant have your attention in two different places. Now that should increase the degree of ignorance in a big way.
It also divides the family. No talking when watching your favorite programme. Every one spaced out and we all turn in when we turn the TV off.

Congratulations. Keep choice on your side.

PS. Do watch the movie "Good night and good luck"

Nope. Television still has some very interesting shows on it, once you cut the rubbish out can normally find one or two programmes a week stimulating enough to watch

I haven't watched the tv in ages. Usually because my partner got the remote stuck to his hand but when I have gotten hold of it the programmes have been crap - I would much rather be on here answering questions :)
