It sounds like her mom is having trouble accepting that you and your friend are growing up and want to do different, "wilder" things. I'd certainly say talk to your mom and tell her how you feel, and ask her to talk to your friend's parents to find some compromise you all can live with. Maybe they would let you have water balloon fights if there are adults around, or something like that- not perfectly what you want, but it's better than musical chairs, yes? (Besides, nothing is funnier than accidentally hitting a parent with a water balloon, lol). Or maybe they'll be there for part of the party, then let you all have time to yourselves. Let us know what happens!

you should invite her parents but maybe theyll understand that it is your bday party and you want to play what you want.or you could call your friend before the bday party and ask her if she will tell her parents that most the kids are not gonna want to play little kids stuff. any way might work you choose

wild stuff? your 13 or 14? whatever just enjoy being a kid BECAUSE YOUR STILL A KID. dont have to play freeze dance or whatever. but an easy way to have a ballon fight is having a buch of them ready and just start it or my 14 birthday me and my cosins had a jello fight that started because my cousin flicked some to me by accident i threw back he shot back and before we knew it we were runnig around having a jello fight 18 cousin in all it was so much fun.

oh that sux!! well maybe your parents and her parents can have a seperate party. Usually that's what we do at my house. I'm older than you, but we just have block parties that are rather large, then everyone breaks off into little groups.

or... tell your parents to encourage them they have everything under control and there's no reason they need to come.

Tell your mom. The parents can come its just its YOUR party, not theirs, if it was their bday, i would go with what
THEY want to do. Its your choice, and YOUR bday. The parents should just watch and see how much fun your having without the "Toddler/kid games " . Really, if its YOUR birthday, shouldnt they be doing what YOU want to do? And shouldnt it be YOUR decision?

Have her talk to her parents about being so over protective. That's really the only thing that can be done. Have her be open and honest and if they don't want her going then you have to respect that.

Thats tough. what difficult ppl to deal with. seriously they should not have any control over what you do at your birthday party. Either have you parents talk to them and tell them that they are ok supervising by themselves and dont need them to come over, or just talk to them yourself and say that you appreciate their help, but you already have games planned.
