I'm an anime fan, but for some reason I never really had any desire to watch Naruto. Just wanted to know why it interests people so much.

The story line is really good/unique, the characters are very well made with each one having very different powers and abilities, the anime also goes into the story of many of the secondary characters and the character developement is good unlike many anime like Bleach. (anyone that wants to debate me that bleach is actually good send me an e-mail, I'm bored)
It's really rare to find anime that are really unique and unlike previous ones, if you're trying to watch it dubbed in English then no wonder you're having trouble watching it. Very much like One Piece the company that dubbed it did a horrible job, a lot is loss when dubbing an anime because of editing/censoring and trying to match the mouth movements to English.
The only downside Naruto has is the amount of filler that was made, while filler is necessary in a lot of anime in Naruto they made the filler episodes very boring and uninteresting(well most of them), the series is good and the amount of fans the series has after all that filler shows this.
Try watching Naruto in Japanese with English subs and I'll bet you'll like it, oh try One Piece too.

Naruto is an original idea! Its got an extremely exciting plot line and it moves at a quick pace as well (not including fillers! They are SLOW) The characters are full of depth and they all tie into each other in awesome ways! There is loads of intruigeas well and the fighting scenes in both the anime and manga are wonderfully detailed and very well draw, especially the fight between Sasuke and Naruto. In the anime, they did that very very well. All in all, its a really great anime!

this is why we all luv naruto!
1. the shows fricken awesome
2. it is very violent
3. its about ninjas who doesnt like ninjas
4. most of the naruto guys that are gay well... is invisible!
5. the guys dont look that bad either
6. rly has a gud plot and all
7.great differ theme songs! ^_^
most of all it keeps u wanting to watch more and more!

1) How it doesn't have a complex plot like many other anime.
2) (Some of) The dudes are fine and physically fit! (Kakashi, Sasuke, Itachi, possibly Shikamaru)
3) The fighting sequences are great and detailed.

I didn't like it at first but when the chunin exams started it showed a lot of creativity in the fighting style and action. In my opinion the action is not a great as DBZ but there is a lot more of it.
And it's funny (the Japanese version)
