Pregnancy tests that you get from the Pharmacy are pretty reliable. However, for definitive results you will want to have a blood test done to measure the HCG level in your blood stream.
Some urine tests need a pretty high hormone level before it will tell you that your pregnant.
Best of luck!

A blood test is more reliable. Some women never show positive on a urine test, their body gets rid of hCG in a different way.

The blood test is the most reliable test between the two.The blood test will be more sensitive to the levels of hcg than in the urine.

the way pregnancy tests work , they look for a hormone produced by the female body - only when pregnant.
a blood test is far more sensitive than the urine test therfore the blood test is more reliable and will be able to pick up the pregnancy hormone at a much earlier stage.

A blood test is very much more accurate. The hormone that shows you are pregnant can decrease in urine throughout the day, whereas in your blood it stays the same (and also can be found sooner).

A blood test is def. more reliable but if you've missed your period and take a urine test then it should be pretty accurate. Good luck!
