Ships, airplanes and people have disappeared and not come back. Sometimes people go through and nothing at all happens. Sometimes when people are going through they see old war planes and ships but then they disappear. I dont think anyone has vanished going to that part of the ocean for a long time. Although I do remember reading a newspaper story that said a ship actually came back, that had disappeared in the 1940's.

The Bermuda Triangle is a spot where 3 different weather systems collide with each other. The Jet Stream comes down from the North, the Atlantic and Gulf currents come in from the east and west.

Statistically, yes. But then statistics says that most accidents happen at home. It is simply because this is where we are most of the time. Likewise, the Bermuda triangle is a crossroad for both aviation and shipping. Remember that the shortest way to the Pacific goes through the Panama canal and that the Bermuda triangle leads to it. Regarding most accidents happening at home, I found a safe place to be ... I moved with my neighbor! ;-)

It's dangerous due to gases that rise from the sea floor. I'm pretty sure it's methane, but I could be wrong; either way it's lighter than the normal sea air. That makes the meters in airplanes think that the airplane is higher than it is, causing pilots to crash their planes into the sea. I doubt this happens anymore due to advances in airplanes, though.

Also, giant bubbles can sink ships in seconds, while the rescue planes from Fort Lauderdale where known for exploding due to the huge amount of fuel they carried

It isn't any more dangerous than it should be. Lots of traffic makes for more disappearances than, say, the antarctic, but only because of how many people are there, not it's location. Statistically speaking, it's okay to go there!

would depend WHEN you are flying over it and if it was ACTIVE.....
my uncle was stationed on the airforce base in bermuda for over 20 years.....they would fly home every year , cross over it.....and MOST times all would be ok.....but there were several times the planes radar was out, navigation instruments would go haywire and the like.. just very strange things happened.....
but he survived each one....so who really knows for sure?

You have to watch the edges, they can be sharp.
