Bittorrent works by using a '.torrent' file that instructs the bittorrent client (ex, Azureus, Utorrent) how to recompile the data recieved, because the data is recieved from many users sharing the file, the swarm; the Swarm is made of Seeders (people with completed files, only uploading) and Peers (those that are downloading and uploading, with an incomplete file. The primary benifit that is achieved through this multi-user swarm is the small load that each user bears, instead of a single-source, Server, being taxed with all of the uploading. See the wiki source for more detailed info.

You can download movies using bit torrents. All u need is a bit torrent client like azureus ( http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php ) Then u have to go to a site which hosts torrents. Try www.isohunt.com or www.torrentspy.com

u can search for the stuff u need there. U will be able to download a torrent file from the sites. The bit torrent clients will accept these files and download the actual files for u....

needless to say, most of the movies and other stuff u find in torrent sites would be pirated....
