The easiest way to find these drivers is to go to the manufacturers' web site and download them. For example, if your machine is a HP, you would go to HP's website and in the search field key your machine make and model number (Pavillion 7655 for example)

Then it should list a category for drivers and downloads. That's where you should look.

Without knowing who the manufacturer is or what the motherboard is, it's difficult to tell you where to get the correct drivers.

If it's saying you don't have any audio devices, does it also list any "Unknown Devices"? That's most likely to happen when a device driver disappears for unknown reasons. Good luck!

Click START
Click Control Panel
Click on System
Click on Hardware
Click on Device Manager
Click on the + by Sound, video, game Contollers

*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them

Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

Wait at least 2 minutes then restart computer

Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers

Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, just remove the sound card drivers anyway, then do the Shutdown procedure

Your AMD athlon 64 processor is your CPU, not your Sound Chip.

You Do you have your Motherboard Drivers Disk ? If Yes, Using this disk and Reinstall the Sound Drivers.

If No, Try to determine what your Motherboard is and go to there website to download the sound drivers.

I will not suggest " to try Restore", others probably will.

I will suggest this website:
http://www.computerhope.com/drivers/sound.htm

good luck.

you're saying you have a valid card. attempt plugging your audio gadget into your intergrated speaker plug. then pass and get carry of the drivers on your soundcard from the producer. which you will desire to have the drivers for besides. yet first you shpuld do away with the virus.

It will depend on the chipset...and there are a bunch. But I gave you the links to the two best. If your board has the Realtek audio get it there.
