Who else doesn't think that it was fair that the KU vs. UCLA game was played in San Jose. They might as well have played in their home court!!

No, it wasn't fair at all. Bring UCLA to Kansas any day and it would've been a totally different game. But, as usual, Kansas gets totally screwed by the system. They set us up in the West when we should've been in the Midwest (I mean, hellooo???!) But no, they had to give Florida a nice little walk through their bracket. I called bullsh!t when they first announced the bracket because I knew something like THIS would happen.
And now all the UCLA fans come pouring out the woodwork, "the better team won" and who up there said that Kansas didn't belong on the same court as UCLA?! Umm, excuse me, but you guys are going down to Florida in the next round, a team that Kansas BEAT. Better team, my @$$. I hope you guys enjoyed that win immensely because it's as good as over for you too...

The NCAA Selection Committee put UCLA in the West Region to make it easier for them to make the Final Four (they did not have to leave the state of California to reach the Final Four ) because the Los Angeles metropolitan area is the nations SECOND biggest TV market, PLUS UCLA has national appeal from their past basketball glory in the 60s and 70s. TV RATINGS!! CAPITALISM!

San Jose isnt the same as playing the game at UCLA. Do you really think flying for 1 1/2 hours is that much different than flying for 45 minutes. I could see your point if the teams had to take buses which they dont. UCLA was the better team.

The locations are decided ahead of time. There is no way to guarantee that someone doesn't end up in a "home team" environment. Ultimately it doesn't matter. The "home" team has extra pressure on it, and arguably is no better off. If your team is good enough, then they should have won the game anyway. This holds true especially in a sport like college basketball where the best teams win most of their games regardless of where they play.

The only way a college team feels 'at home' is if they ARE home... as far as the Bruins are concerned, if they're not playing in Pauley Pavillion, they're on the road.
Heck, UCLA even had to wear their 'road' uniforms.
In college basketball, there's your home areana, then there's everywhere else... San Jose is somewhere else... it doesn't "feel" like a home game to the Bruins just because it's in the same state.
Kansas didn't belong on the same court as UCLA... I don't even know how Kansas got as far as they did. They're not that good.
(So what if Kansas beat Florida in OT early this season? They also lost to Oral Roberts and DePaul).

i really don't think it had that big of an effect. the jayhawks were obviously the weaker team. you can't blame a 13 point loss on the crowd, unless you are trying to say that ku would then have only lost by like 6 or 7. you might as well complain that you have to play on the road at all. you wouldn't be complaining if the game were in st. louis or somewhere in the midwest, so stop crying like a little baby

ucla definetely had a home court advantage...and i wasnt happy about it, but they pick these places ahead of time and its not like they did it on purpose...also, kansas didnt loose because they arent as good..they are just as good as ucla, they just didnt play well at all against them. they are a great team and are not overrated...sometimes you loose games, and unfortunately they lost this one. its on next year

Kansas lost because they couldn't keep up with UCLA's defense. The better team won. Had Kansas been that team, they would have won too.

Refs make mistakes. We just have to live with the calls and be good sports about it even if it wasn't fair.
