If you are only bored and not needing money, why don't you ask your Church, provided that you belong to a good one, what you can do to be a blessing? I would be so happy to not have to work so I could be more involved in my Church helping to provide relief to hurting people in the community.

If you do not belong to a good Church by all means, ask God to lead you to one and get involved in some prayer meetings and Bible studys to become more Christ-like and give of yourself. But if you are needing more finances, maybe you should go to work. In the Bible it does say that work is honorable. But if you are in a backslidden state, you may be drawn away from your husband in that case. It sounds like you have become dry in your spirit, I hope you are a Christian because if not, that is the first thing that you need to do, is to ask Jesus into your heart.

Hmmm... I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing in life, but I won't be 47 for a couple of months. Maybe I'll get some insight by then.

I think you may be stuck in a particular group's interpretation of the Bible. As you read through the bible you'll find there are many passages that your group (church or sect) doesn't obey or doesn't take as the literal word of God. They are picking and choosing which Biblical commands to follow and which to ignore.

I think it is time to follow your own path.

The bible says alot of things.and so do alot of other books, take what you like and leave the rest.Who really cares if the bible states you should be at home,That's hogwash ,where do you think you should be?Don't refer to a any reference book that says you should be a certain place at a certain time, because that is actually the stupidest thing I have ever heard of.Your exactly where you need to be right now.and if you need to be somewhere else then by all means go there, but not because the bible told you to do so.follow your heart, make your own decisions in life and happiness will prevail. If the bible told you to jump off a bridge on your 48th birthday would you do it? of course the bridge would have to be in your own backyard because the bible said you should be at home.....no offense...but don't be brainwashed by words written in a book by God only knows who.I just hope they were at home when they did it or they could live a life of doom and gloom and go to hell......because the bible says so.Please live your life well and follow your heart and listen to yourself you have the answers inside of you.

the Bible is great, but just because it says you "should be at home" doesn't mean you have to?

find a hobby, part time job, join a club? there are a world of possibilities! the Bible doesn't say you have to live a boring, munane existance... do something nice for YOU.

all the best.

A woman's place isn't necessarily in the home. In the bible, Ruth and Esther both worked for a living. They didn't just stay at home and cook, clean, take care of children.

As we all change and our needs and desires develop and change, so do the goals we have in life. There's no problem in changing your career aspirations this late, in fact...it's likely that they'll change again in another ten years.

In proverbs 31. The Bible tells us of the virtuous woman , Who rises before the Sun , prepares for her family and buys and sells in the market place.

don't wait for life to happen. opportunity still lurks for those brave enough to seek them out. Get into the work place or seek Passive residual Income, From real estate etc. Recommend , broker etc.

The only thing holding you back is you, not God. He opens doors, walk in

correction the bible doesn't say a woman should be at home. It does say she takes care of the home. She can also work. A woman is a help to husband and husband is help to woman that is what bible says. if you base on what bible says then you should be praying about what GOD wants you to do. Not what you or husband want.

Maybe read something else. You whine too much. Attitude problem. I entertain myself: it's not hard for me to do. It's nice when there's somebody to share life with and do things with and explore, etc with, but... I can e happy and un-bored all on my own. Lots of interests.

Man, this week... I am wondering how I am going to get time to do everything I want to do once I am no longer on-call (can't do a lot of things while on call, so I get behind on some things).

It's Spring. Go plant some flowers or something.

I know its boring and all but you have to remember you will get your reward in heaven
You could go out and commit adultery and lose the privilege for a few minuets of pleasure.Mighty big temptation isn't it ? The devil new what he was doing that's for sure. For most of us we would have been better off staying single
