'05 Chevy Aveo I purchased it late February '07 from a very respected and trusted dealer in my area with 15,000 miles.

It's a very smooth ride, not bumpy at all, but whenever I go over speed bumps (my apartment complex is littered with them) it makes an airy/squishy sound.

The noise you hear come from the front and rear strut assemblies. These are filled with oils and compressed gas. The noise is the compression and release of these fluids.
good luck........

Does it occur if only 1 wheel goes over a bump? If not, or it's not noticable, it is probably the sway bar bushings that hold it to the frame. They tend to dry out and when the bar flexs it causes a tight rubber squeaking sound. You can correct this by spraying the rubber bushings with a good quality penetrating fluid, like liquid wrench or wd-40. Make sure that the can states that it is safe for use on rubber.
