Why wouldn't it? Color and religion do not ultimately decide whether or not a government works. The people do. If the Constitution remained as it is, and blacks eventually became more numerous that whites, and one of them who was Muslim was elected, what difference would it make? In four years he would be up for re-election, and although your usual politics and money would be factors, all anyone would ultimately care about is whether or not he did a good job. If he did, then what difference does it make if he is black or Islamic? If he didn't, he would get voted out. Black people are not stupid.

If you're referring to Obama he's not a Muslim. On the other hand a lot of idiots think having a name that sounds a bit like Osama makes you a terrorist.

I refer the above 'misinformed' answerers to: Obama Kenya MauMau. Is the one who said 'so what if he's Muslim as President' a Muslim? Or else they need to study the Sharia law they would find themselves subject to. Unfortunately, because of groups like 'the Muslim Brotherhood' re 'the PROJECT' US citizens have to be extra careful or we could be signing over our freedom in choosing the wrong aspiring Pres.

I'm assuing you are referring to Obama. Last I checked he was a member of the Christian faith and a number of people have objected to his church as well. If people are concerned that there seems to have been some Islamic education in his background, wouldn't that make him better prepared to understand and deal with the current threat?

Why should it not work people will do what ever they have to do to survive and work with who ever they have to so that they can keep the standard of living that they are Lucky enough to have.
