Depends on the person. Both are easy to pick up, both are difficult to master. Some people find it easier to play, some to sing.. both require alot. The only important thing is to do what you like to do best.

They are both hard things to master. I am an opera singer, and singing is pretty challenging if you don't have the voice for it, and there is a lot more to singing then just memorizing lyrics and melodies, you have to learn pitches, rhythims, keys, articulation, sight reading, reading music notes, knowing how to crescendo, decrescendo, vibratto, etc. and to play an instrument you only have to learn some of the stuff that I mentioned above and you have more control of what you play, but they are both very challenging. As a singer, singing is my passion, but I do see it as the most challenging of both options, because you either have it in you or you don't.

Honestly, it depends. I play the French Horn, and I'm also a coloratura soprano who loves opera. Both have their pros and cons. Instruments depend on embouchure, the instrument itself, your amount of effort, and how much you practice. Singing involves control, being able to pick up tunes by ear and reading music, being able to sing in harmony with others, and so on and so forth. I guess it really depends on you. Try both and see which one you like better. I prefer singing to my french horn at times, and vice versa at other times. Either way, mastering something takes time and effort, so answer this question: Would you rather spend time and effort in your voice, or in an instrument? Ciao!!!

Depends what instrument. If you were mastering the trumpet compared to the violin, then the violin would be harder to master. Also depends on your expectations, and what you feel is truly "mastering" something.

It really depends. Maybe you are talented at singing and maybe you're not. If you're naturally good at singing, then an instrument would probably be harder. If you're naturally bad at singing, maybe an instrument would be easier.

It depends on a lot of different things: such as (singing) vocal range. I play bass and have played for 8 years. It really comes down to PRACTICE, becuase with enough practice you can be good at anything.
