Most sinks water pressure is already turned all the way up. However, over time deposits from the water can start to line the inside of the faucet, reducing the flow. If this is the case you can either take your faucet apart and thoroughly clean it, which sometimes works, but usually cases more grief than it's worth, or you can just replace the faucet entirely, which is what I ended up doing.

USA You did not state if this has been the situation forever, or if it just started. Some faucets have a filter on the end where the water comes out. You can twist it off, and you will see a screen on the inside. If the screen is blocked with dirt, it will restrict the flow of water. Clean the screen, and reinstall. Also check the valves on the pipe feeding the tub, and make sure they are open all the way. If you have old galvanized piping, then the pipe might be corroded on the inside, and will need to be replaced. If all else fails, try a new faucet.

the previous answers are great if you are on the mains for all your cold water, unless you live in a medium high rise with low water pressure locally, ask your neighbours if they have the same problem. do you have a tank in the loft? if you have a traditional system,i.e. tank in loft, cylinder in airing cupboard heated by standard boiler. then the cold taps in the bathroom will probably be fed by the tank. if you can put your thumb under the basin tap and stop the water flow fairly easily then it probably is fed from a tank and the basin and bath usually come from the same source. try turning off the stopcock (under kitchen sink?) and see if the water stops running. if the tap is fed from a tank then you can do nothing to improve the flow apart from increasing the pipe and tap size..not very practical. what i would suggest is though, go into the loft and check to see if the tank is lagged, has a lid on and has nothing in the bottom, i.e.large amount of sediment, dead bird or mouse...but its OK, rats can swim.it pays to remember to check your water tank people, you brush your teeth in that water! (sorry couldn't resist)

make sure the stop **** is open fully if it is then you are what is known as the end of the run so ur water presher will be lower only way if thats the case is to change the feed to ur house from 25m to 50m this will help but rather expensive

If all your other hot taps have normal pressure then it could be that the tap is faulty. Inside the tap washer can be partially stuck down.
