cumulus, altocumulus, cirrocumulus, cummulonimbus, cumulus congestus,stratus, altostratus, cirrostratus,nimbostratus, mammatus, cirrus, lenticular...that's all I can remember...but there are LOTS as you can see...

i study the weather and have several weather books and there are about 30 to 40 different types. There are 4 to 5 different types of one particular cloud.

According to the heights of the clouds, three classifications can be made.
They are low cloud,medium cloud and high cloud.
Stratus,Stratocumulus,Cumulus and Cumulonimbus are low clouds.The last two sometimes reach middle and higher levels.
Altostratus,Altocumulus and Nimbostratus are medium clouds.
Cirrus, Cirrostratus, Cirrocumulus are high clouds.
Thus there are mainly ten types of clouds if you classify them according to height.
