Is this happening in a user profile that has a layout? If it is they probably have a custom cursor HTML code on their page and they may also have some other code or object on their page that is causing it to freeze on you. It happens to me on some profile pages, it was really bad when I had dial up and used Internet Exporer. I now have Broadband and use Firefox so it doesn't happpen as much.

The pointer is a small program that has been downloaded to your machine either intentionally or unintentionally, either way they are usually spyware/malware, you want to get rid of it quick, they usually open a door between your PC and people who want to steal your passwords, account numbers etc. This accessing your information when you log on, either manually or automatically slows down what you are doing while it copies the information.

It is essential that you get rid of the program, run anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-adware immediately and offline before it takes something important like bank account or card number when you log in somewhere like Amazon etc. Then change any passwords you have so it can't use any it has already gained.

You will have gone on a persons profile and the flash etc on that page will be causing the screen to freeze ,and the insect is chance to be a cursor someone has customised :)

Probably means that the person has far too much on their profile to load up, one of my friends on there has had to cut down all the pics on her page cos it wouldn't load up.

They probably have put a code in to get the insect curser so don't worry about that.

maybe its because the person's page you went to has an html that he/she put.

a lot of glitter stuff and photos feezes pages..and with a code you can change the mouse pointer. if that's in a myspace 'official' page.. then i dont know
