What's missing is the selfish nature of human beings. The idea that I have mine, you go get yours. If you can't, that's your problem. Often, the really fabulously wealthy seal themselves off from the rest of the world so they don't have to see those that are suffering.
And then there are the power hungry. The dictators and warlords who want to rule without regard to the consequences for the people they oppress.
And those are just two reasons. Like anything else dealing with human beings, there are many and complex reasons why we allow suffering to continue. It all goes back to the self, though, in the end.

Good question my friend. I don't see how the government can spend so much money on this so called war and there are people in the US that are hungry and living on the streets. There are people who are trying to work and make a living, but that is not enought. If they would take some the billions they are spending overseas and apply it to the American people, no one in the US would ever have to live on the streets or be hungry again.

You know what they said to me?

Some places like in India people will continue to have babies and poverty and hunger is natures way to control it. It is true if we bring them all the food they can eat they will continue with over-population until that foof is gone also.

It is the have and have nots.
People who work have.
People who do not work have nothing.
Not everyone can be rich, just like everyone can't be poor.
Don't give a man a fish....give him a fishing pole and teach him how to fish and fend for himself.
People are expecting the government to provide for them.

If you don't open your eyes you don't have to see it and you can pretend then that everyone is doing just as good as you or better. however, I think the banks own the most and other countries that look as if they are poor because of the way that they treat their own people and no one will stand up to them

Bad government. Any country which has a government which protects personal, and more particularly property rights, will do fine.
