no. It had to happen. "u know who" was the only one standing between him and Voldemort, so he had to die the same way Sirius did.
It was sad, but I could see it coming. I cried when Sirius died. He was my favorite character.

I was just like you. Though I read a lot, it took me years to finally pick up a Harry Potter book, and that was in the 8th grade. I had just stuck to the movies too, but I decided to just go for it, and in a week I had read the whole series. Like most good books, it takes until around the 80th or 100th page of the first book before you really get hooked, after that the excitement comes sooner with each new series and soon you get eager to know what will happen next. I suggest you read the books,from the beginning. Start out small and try to read to page 100. If you are not interested by then, than maybe wizards are not your forte. Another series I would recommend is Ink Heart, it is very good, not like the stupid movie.
