I have a 240sx, not that it matters, but i just want to know if i have to cut up the tint into peices to avoid the defroster lines.

no you don't have to cut it up to put it on and yes you will be able to use the rear defrosters after its tinted as long as you don't cut the defroster lines or break a tab off the wires.

in case you're very stable with hand to eye coordination, use a razor and decrease strains between the rows of the defroster. It will work fine. That defroster won't put 1/10th as much heat on that tint as sunlight will. The tint will probably help a little by keeping the heat in some.

No. The defroster doesn't generate that much heat. The tinting will get hotter from the sun than from the defroster.

yes but wait a couple of weeks if you used quality tint there will be no problem using your rear defroster
