Sexing a Ball is much easier than sexing other snakes, a female has a rather turnip shaped tail, while a males is more tapered. I'm sure they appreciate the fact that they need not be probed...

I've watched a veterinarian sex a python. Didn't look that dangerous to me. She just examined his 'private parts' with a little tool and a light, basically.

I'd take him to a vet for this. Some breeders might be able to do it, as well, but an exotics vet should be able to. When you make the appointment, be sure to ask if they see snakes, and if they can sex your python for you.

I'm from WV and vets and pet shops can't sex snakes because of the instruments that they have to use, if they make one wrong move then the snake will be died...if you bought it from a pet store though it will most likely be a male...you may friend a privet breeder who will sex it for you

look at the end of the tail. there is a big claw called the anal claw (aka butt). there are two little stubs on each side, these are called spurs. if they are small it is a female, if they are big it is a male.
