Final Fantasy is supposed to be really good, i just bought number XII off of eBay and i can't wait for it to come!
Also try Kingdom Hearts I, II and Dark Cloud.

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus (in fact any FF game but start with this one)
Xenosaga II (if your feel like a real challenge)
If you like very detailed stories, top graphics and don’t mind turn based battles, those are the best.
