what will be the near end if there's no end?

If there was no "apocalypse", the world would probably continue in ways unimaginable forever.....

But that isn't possible in real terms. Eventually our sun is going to puff up into a red giant... completely sterilise this planet and... well... that'll be the end of life as we know it.

Scientists have suggested that in a billion or so years the world will collapse into other galaxies and be destroyed, or, the sun will burn out in one huge ball of flame ... but I don't think this is what you are asking.

But if there isn't ....

I think the world will continue as it has for the past three of four thousand years. We will have good times, in places, and bad times, in places. There will be abundance for the few, as the case is right now for the USA, Western Europe and many other areas; and yes, there will be times of war and famine and disease that are horrendous for many, as is the case now for Iraq and many places in Africa. We can be sure, however, that the Middle East will still be a hot spot a thousand or ten thousand years from now, the world's ecology will be under threat, and people will live longer than they do today. Yes, it'll be two steps forward and one step back.

I assume you mean planet Earth..A human apocalypse will only mean what a Dinosaur Apocalypse meant..Species survive and most do not depending on good old chance. Time is irrelevant it is pure physics that puts you here at this place at this moment..The World will continue in whatever form it is to be..

The human race will either figure out a way to regulate its population and give everyone a decent quality of life, or we'll keep on culling our excess population through famine, uncontrolled disease epidemics, and war, kind of like we do now.

But eventually, the earth will gradually drift farther out into space and become too cold to support life anymore, and then we'll just be another cold rock drifting along through the universe. Maybe someday another world's archeologists will find us and study us.

there's no such thing. its inevitable and its bound to happen, maybe in this lifetme, or maybe in ten lifetimes later. earth and the universe is constantly recycling energy to heal itself, and if it means the apocalypse of all humanity or the planet earth, its what has to happen.

but then again when you think of it in terms of energy and matter, there really is no end because even if there were an "apocalypse" and the planet earth were to explode, everything-- the dust, your atoms, and energy-- is just recyled within the universe.

The apocalypse appears to have been circumvented.
You are part of the reason for bypassing its need.
Our children our deprogramming themselves now. Whew!
