Is there a way to copy/scan a document to my computer then go back to the document and make changes to it?

Scan it with a scanner that includes OCR software. Either that or just edit it in paint by moving letters around and such.

OCR software translates words in a document back into words in a word document and allows them to be edited.

Sounds like someone is up to no good. If you have the right software you can scan a document to your word processor and make changes.

Yeah, most scanning programs can do OCR, and convert the document to text. You can then convert the text into your word processor and change it.

Yes. You can right click on the document and click "open with" and then open it with a word document - such as "microsoft word" or if it's a graphic document then you could open it with "microsoft paint". Once it's opened, you can add wording or change or take out or add graphics, change colors, fonts, etc. Good luck!

Adobe Acrobat (not the free Adobe Reader). You can edit scanned documents with it.
