oh the misery!! I had the worst cold of my life when I was pregnant with my oldest. and there is NOTHING you can take when you are pregnant. period! Oh it is so sad!
My OB recommended boiling a pot of water and sticking your head over the top and breathing in the steam to help clear your head. Also you can try (this is gross) suck salt water UP one side of your nose and then blow it back out over the sink. Disgusting, I know...but it WILL help clear your nose a bit.
Aside from that, lots of fluids, lots of rest and a healthy diet is about all you can do.
You CAN take regular Tylenol when you are pregnant IF you develop a fever...but a side from that I am sorry to say...nothing!

Double check with your Dr (or the pharmacist if you're there anyway) for drugs you can take. I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. I didn't take anything except for a tylenol for the fever/aches and got plenty of liquids and rest. Chicken soup is always good. A glass of warm milk and honey is good for a cough as are hard candies (but not too many of them!). A humidifier can help with congestion. If you're congested get the good tissues with lotion, they're so much nicer on your nose than regular tissues!
Take care!

When I was 8 weeks pregnant, I got a TERRIBLE COLD.
My doctor said I couldn't take anything until I had completed the 3rd month (13 weeks).
You should ALWAYS consult your doctor before taking any meds while pregnant.

If you can take in tons of vitamin c.. oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, and kiwi are all loaded with c. Have tea that's low in caffeine. Pomegranate juice is great for you and the baby too:) They have tons of stuff at the health food store and they will help you get better faster and naturally. Hope you feel better:)
