A physical change is when the chemistry of a substance isn't changed ...
e.g. Water is H2O is water whether in liquid, solid or gas form..
Chemical change is when substances change to new substances due to chemical reaction..
e.g. Combustion... a fuel like Ethane gas is burned to form two to four new substances by chemically combining the Ethane with oxygen and gives out light and heat energy..
Complete combustion produces CO2 + H2O
Insufficient oxygen can produce,..CO2 + CO + H2O
Very little oxygen will produce,..... C (soot) + CO + H20.

In a chemical change, the actual chemical makeup of the reactants are altered. Some telltale signs of a chemical change are: a change in color, production of an odor, giving off of heat, or bubbles forming. However, in a physical change, the reactants maintain their chemical structure. An example of this is the boiling of liquid water into water vapor, which is just a change in the state of matter. Chemical changes can be reversed, although they are much more difficult to do so than physical changes. For example, the electrolysis of water produces oxygen and hydrogen gases. If you ignite the two together, water droplets form. Much more complex than, say, freezing water to make ice (a physical change).

A Physical change is something that is effected by the environment like water forming ice or steam depending on the outside temperature. The products remain the same in a pyhsical change.
A Chemical Change is an outside factor that changes the actual products of a given substance. Like water mixed with acid creates acid rain.
Hope this helps.

The boiling of water to produce steam is an example of a physical change. the water changes state, from liquid to a gas but it does not change into a different type of matter.
A chemical reaction involves the conversion of one type of matter into another. New substances are formed.
Hope this gives you a start and don't forget to vote!!.

I think a Chemical change is irreversable and a physical change can be changed many times over!

a chemical change is when the substance changes into 1 or 2 new subatances
and
a physical change is when the subatance changes the way that it looks but not what it is
examples:chemical change rust was first iron then it was exposed to moister and changed to rust
physical change when u chop wood you alter the way it looks but not what it is
