Should I get a male or a female? Aside from the fact that I need to get my male nuetered.
Will the buunies fight if they are both males because of territory?
Would it be smarter to get a female?
Anyone with personal expierence with house rabbits, my bunny has a cage but we never lock him in, he is a free roaming rabbit and stays inside the house.

i cant believe that first answer!!!! its the opposite!!! rabbits are incredibly social animals and much prefer their own company. i would get a girlie bun for him afew weeks after hes been neutered. male/male bonding is possible but is much more likely to fail and alot of fighting will happen. and yes it would be because of territory and sorting out who is top bun. a doe would be much wiser choice!its lovely to see two buns snuggle up and groom each other

do not get a guniea pig as suggested in first post. many people seem to think they can live together in harmony but sadly isnt the case! they both have a different diet(guinea pigs can't provide their own vit c), they both speak a totally different language and rabbits. it would be like you stuck with someone who you didnt understand a word they were saying. also many guinea pigs end up dying from a rabbit kicking out - so powerful it breaks their little bones.

Rabbits are not by nature very social animals and will do better by themselves... have you thought of getting a guinea pig to be the rabbits buddy instead? I know that rabbits and guinea pigs do well together... :)
