I think the walls are long overdue. Illegal immigrants and drug smugglers have too long had free run of the borders. Living in the United States is a privilege, not a right. People all over the world wait for years for an opportunity to live in this country. Why is it right to condone the illegal immigration of anyone? Recent history has brought this issue to light as terrorists entered this country without raising any flags. The Mexican-American border is a hotbed for drug running and border jumping and needs to be controlled. It is not economically feasible to have agents stationed along the border constantly and a barrier is the only way to stem the flow of illegals from entering the US.
A barrier has been created in southern California in recent years and the flow of border jumpers has essentially stopped. The towns are less crime-ridden and flourishing economically which proves that there is no harm done to the US as a result of this separation. So long as Mexico does nothing to improve its economy and living conditions of its inhabitants the US must do anything and everything possible to ensure the safety and sanctity of life in the United States.

First off, Bush isn't building anything, Congress de-funded the project. The Minuteman Civil Defense Corp is and donations can be sent to:

Secondly, oh man where to begin?
I noticed you mentioned the Berlin Wall. For the record, that wall was built to keep people IN, not trash OUT. Never heard the expression "Good fences make good neighbors?
We aren't dividing Mexico, the southwestern states are sovereign US land. While it had once belonged to Mexico, it was, for the most part, legally PURCHASED from same (take a look at the Hildalgo Treaty).
Anglo-Mexican, Hispanic-Mexico, just what are you smokin'???

The wall is a better solution than the Mexican solution. When illegals enter Mexico from the south, they don't permit them health care, education or opportunity. If they survive that, then they are often killed by the government. Mexcio is not a nice country because Mexicans don't have a foundation for what good government is about.

If the wall construction results in stemming the flow of illegal immigration, then the end justifies the means. However, unless the incentives are taken away (e.g., healthcare, housing, schooling for the children of illegals) the wall alone will act as only a short term and very porous obstacle.
Like any war, you need to fight it as if you want to win.

Your statement makes no sense. Learn English. Then you will be understood better and you will understand better. There is no Anglo-Mexico. Mexico is a place people leave to live a better life. The United States is a place where people come to live a better life.

I think that The U.S has made a big mistake by building that wall. It makes me sad when people think of mexicans as lower class people who aren't good for nothing. That wall has ruined many people dreams and hopes of coming to the U.S. of hopefully try to make a living for themselves and there familys. All we want to do is try to live the All-American dream and to raise our children for a better future for themselves and their country. It affects mexicans from both side of the wall. It ruins a persons dreams of coming back to their homeland and seeing there family's smiling face again. And ruining a persons chance for a better life.

That isn't the ONLY wall Dumbya has built or attempted to build. The Devider and Stupid "Decider" has built walls between economic classes, ethnicities and even among religions WITHIN the USA to fragment opposition to his stealing from the American people.

your question is faulty. let ask some questions about your question. Why does the american people want to build the wall? Is it really going to divide us? Why are the mexican people moving to united states without a visa like the rest of the world would do? please answer those questions.

It is time the great wall off the America's be built, for the same reasons one closes and locks his doors on his residence at night.
