Not me, either. He should have been gone a few weeks ago! I would vote for everyone but him! Unfortunately, there's a website (votefortheworst.com) that's telling everyone to vote for him and Chris Sligh as often as possible during the 2 hour voting period to try and get Simon to quit after this year because he said he'd do just that if Sanjaya won this year.
After all the idol wanna-bes that Simon insulted during the audition and performance shows, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they aren't the ones doing all this voting for the worst. If Simon quits, Idol is over, because he's the only one who really tells them how they performed, even if he doesn't sugar-coat it. Stroking wanna-bes egos is NOT what the show is about.
And as to all the people out there who keep saying that so many talented singers are being turned away and the dorkenheimers are pushed ahead to the main auditions just to make the show entertaining: 1) If they were really THAT good, they would have been moved up (sour grapes, anyone?); and 2) Duh, the show would be less ENTERTAINING if everyone could sing and we didn't see the dorkenheimers who really thought they could sing making fools of themselves. I mean, really, it's not like someone pushed them into auditioning with a cattle prod - they are there of their own volition! And if they are made fools of by the show, it's their own fault for auditioning in the first place!
I hope Melinda, Lakisha, Gina or Jordin wins this year.

Immature idiots who think this is some kind of childish game.

The future of people's lives (and their livelihood) are at stake and this show (and permissive parents) allow young kids to control the fate of these people. Sanjaya is a little boy among men and women and does not deserve to shine their shoes.

Hopefully this teaches the show a lesson that may result in some constructive changes to the future voting process. The opinion of the judges should be weighted at least 50-75% because the voters of America have proven themselves to be ill-qualified and far too immature to act responsibly (what else is new?).

I really like the kid and think he is cute as a button. I would not vote for his singing.

I think the ones that are voting for him are the type that listen to Howard Stern. Scary that we have so many of them in our country. Look what they are doing to every aspect of our culture/country.

Me of course. In case you have not heard , there is a huge movement/effort to keep him around. It is spearheaded by Howard Stern. It is so fun, i voted 148 times and plan the same this week. there are 7 million strong Howard fans voting for him each week multiple times. so he will stay around for awhile longer.
