I am a 21 year old m-f and have experimented with herbal pills and believe that I need to take further steps. Does anyone know if its difficult to get a script of estrogen?

3 months after beginning therapy. It goes by fast.

It's really just a guideline, there are a few therapists or doctors that will bypass the guidelines. I know at least one who bypassed therapy and got them directly from a doctor. Good luck finding one though.

I recommend going through the process and waiting 3 months. Since you're still somewhat young, ask them for a letter for a t-blocker. You may have to be pushy about it. By the way, a t-blocker (such as Spironolactone) isn't a big deal like Estrogen and Progesterone are. It's what they give underage TS patients until they're old enough for hormones. It'll make you sterile after 6 months tho, but its effects are thought to be reversible.

Get on Spiro as soon as possible because you may still be in puberty. Getting on a t-blocker (and/or hormones) in puberty will greatly improve your final appearance.

You also should minimize alcohol. FYI: Soy products are thought to contain natural estrogens.

When you're ready for estrogen, you should talk to a doctor about the risks of blood clots. It can happen, but there are ways to reduce the chance.

It probably won't take that long. It didn't for me and many others. Only a couple of sessions. Also, make sure you drop off all the extra stuff a couple weeks before you go to get your blood work done and get on hormones, that way the doctor will have a better baseline to come up with a better regiment for you.

depending on where you go its not hard at all to get hormones
you just need to find a doctor who will write the script
not all doctors abide by the benjamin standards of care anyway so you dont always have to get meds from a psychologist reccomendation

i got my first hormones black market, from mexico, then i got a doc who writes and its much safer
im fully transitioned now

you can email me if you need further assistance, locating a doc or whatever
