You'll have plenty of choices.

Many of the hotels (big and small) have a food-court. And, you can get stuff like Sbarro, Chipotle, Panda Express, McDonalds. Not sure what your looking for (RE: budget, and food you like).

Buffets can get pricey, but there are still some bargains. Riviera & Sahara for example. They arent great buffets, but you can get in & out for under $10 for breakfast in most cases. If you can travel 2 or 3 miles - consider OFF STRIP hotels. The Orleans & the Gold Coast have oustanding buffets for the $$$$$. Are these two the BEST OF THE BEST? Of course not, but the value is superb. Good food here.

If you want the BEST buffet (i know this is going off topic), we're talking Bellagio, Aladdin, and the Wynn. Dinner here can be $33 for dinner. Crazy prices, but outstanding food.

There are several I-HOP's and DENNY'S right on the strip.

Probably the best bargain in the entire state is ELLIS ISLAND. It's one block off the strip - sits right behind Bally's (on Koval Lane).

How does this sound:
soup or salad
bread
filet cut 10 ounce top sirloin (lean and tender!!)
baked potato
veggies
.. all this for $4.95? I eat there 2x a week. They have this 24/7. It's not on the menu - just ask for the $4.95 steak special. It's a really good steak. If you ordered a meal like this on the strip - you'd pay $20 to $25 easily!!! It's a local place. Lot of cab drivers go there, etc. Remember the name ELLIS ISLAND!!!! It's walking distance from strip/flamingo - and if you dont want to walk 1/4 mile--all the cabbies know about it.

The following aren't cheap, but they won't kill you either (good food usually is gonna cost you ... a little more than usual):

Rosemary's is fantastic for gourmet American, on Sahara and Cimarron. I also love Satay Grille for Malaysian food in China Town. Boa at Caesar's is soooo yummy! For authentic Chinese, Food Express on Decatur & Oakey. The best Thai in town is Lotus of Siam on Maryland and Sahara. Those are the places I like to go, and I'm picky about food. If it's good, though, I know about it, and I'm there!

Everywhere on the strip is pretty overpriced but circus circus & the Stratosphere are better bargains. If you rent a car there are a lot of restaurants off Flamingo that are reasonable & about 10 minutes from the strip. Good Luck :)

Take $20, go to a small casino (local's casinos or anywhere off the strip), and play the nickle, dime, or penny machines. Make sure to get a player card. You can usually get free drinks from the waiters/waitresses, and when you earn points on the player card, you can usually get free meals from their restaurant. Sometimes you will score free meals just for playing awhile. The dime, nickle, and penny machine games last longer, and you might end up scoring big.

I love Fulton Street Fish which is in the village part of the NYNY hotel. They have a meal deal for 4 that is $14.95 and has fish, chix, shrimp, fries and slaw....It would feed two burly people easy. I love it there, going back in 2 weeks and it is on my dining list. They also have a wicked clam chowder in a bread bowl for about $4 and it is a meal in itself.
