I enjoyed watching "Band of Brothers", partly because I had enjoyed "Saving Private Ryan", but also I liked the fact that it came to an end after 10 episodes, and it didnt keep going on and on (much like I am doing now) for series and series, with unanswered questions after unanswered question. What other mini series are out there that come to a nice end after 10 or so episodes?

Angels in America was a great minseries. It was shown on HBO, but they now sell it on DVD. it's a total of 6 hours long.

Try "Deadwood" or "Rome". Even "The L Word" and "Queer as Folk" are awesome.
